In San Diego, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across California vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is Open 24 hours. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach San Diego Pro Mobile Mechanic at (619) 853-3823; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, sandiegopromobilemechanic.com.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 35 reviews, which is a strong result for an auto repair shop in San Diego and suggests consistent service.

San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Diego is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I honestly don't even know where to start with this review. I was stranded in San Diego (I'm from Louisiana, so I was NOT familiar with the area) and had already taken my car to one of those big box auto repair shops, and something about the whole thing just felt off β€” like they were trying to get over on me. I was stressed, far from home, and just needed someone I could actually trust. My husband from across the country made a few calls and found Willy, and that same day, he showed up to where I was staying and just got to work. No runaround, no upsell games, none of that. What really got me was how transparent he was the whole time. He took pictures as he went and sent them to my husband back home so he could see exactly what was being done and confirm the fixes made sense β€” even from thousands of miles away. Not a lot of mechanics would think to do that, honestly. After he finished, he didn't just hand me the keys and leave. He waited around while I test drove it, just to make sure it was actually safe before I got on the road for that long drive back to Louisiana. He was kind, patient, clearly knew what he was doing, and used top equipment β€” you can tell he takes his work seri

MAN! Willie came out to help my wife and I with our car yesterday and I could not have been more grateful for the brother. Had a situation where I know that if it had been anybody else, they would’ve sent it to a shop where they would’ve said it was a transmission issue when it wasn’t. Willie was not only fast and efficient (he had the issue fixed in less than 20 minutes), but he was kind and understanding. In the times we live in, that’s such a rare quality to have. I can’t stress enough about how much of a blessing Willie was yesterday. Thank you for being who you are and for helping my family out in a time of need.

I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but after two straight days of playing β€œWhere’s Willy?” I feel like I earned the right. Day 1: I called and he said he’d call me back as soon as he got out from under a car. Fair enough. Never called. So I called again. He forgot about me, said he was slammed, but promised he’d contact another mechanic and call me back. Spoiler alert: he did not call me back. So naturally, I called a third time. No answer. Waited a bit, called again, and finally got through. Willy said he could come by after 6 PM. I was stranded, so it’s not like I was going anywhere anyway. To his credit, he eventually showed up, diagnosed the issue, and didn’t charge me for the inspection, which I genuinely appreciated. He said he’d return the next day around 1 PM to fix my starter and change my oil. Day 2: I texted around 12:45 just to confirm. Silence. 1 PM comes and goes. A couple hours later, another text. Nothing. Then I called. Nothing. The frustrating part is that he actually seemed knowledgeable and nice when he showed up. But communication and reliability matter, especially when someone is stranded and depending on you. A simple β€œI can’t make it” would’ve gone a lo

I was stranded in Chula Vista on Mother’s Day with a failed alternator, and Willy at San Diego Pro Mobile Mechanic completely saved the day. He came directly to me with the replacement alternator and fixed everything on the spot. Once he arrived, I was back on the road in about an hour and a half. His pricing was very fair, and he was incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and honest throughout the entire process. It’s hard to find mechanics you can truly trust, and I highly recommend Willy if you ever need fast, reliable mobile mechanic service.

Willy was so amazing!! I was working at seaworld and when I got to my shift my breaks were grinding. I still had to go to my shift so I my friend called on my behalf to see if they could help and they were super accommodating for that. We set a time for them to come down once I was off work. He helped me get my car to the nearest parking lot, checked out my breaks and got the front and rear breaks pads and rotors done in about hour. Willy was so kind and helpful I would definitely recommend services from his company!!!
